Jon Hopeman and Marnie Fearon Join Gray Plant Mooty’s White Collar Defense Team

MINNEAPOLIS (March 6, 2017) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that litigators Jon Hopeman and Marnie Fearon have joined the firm’s Investigations & White Collar Defense team, practicing in the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Hopeman has defended persons charged with securities fraud, political corruption, environmental crimes, bank fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, money laundering, terrorism, murder, and arson. From 1983 to 1994, Hopeman served as assistant United States attorney in Minneapolis, where he also served as senior litigation counsel. He has conducted investigations for companies facing allegations of fraud, bribery, Medicare fraud, theft of corporate assets, and foreign corrupt practices. Hopeman is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and has been certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

In addition to her work pertaining to white collar criminal defense, Fearon’s experience as a litigator includes matters involving real estate, construction, commercial, landlord/tenant, and employment disputes. She is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in the pages of Super Lawyers.
