Gray Plant Mooty Welcomes Six New Associates

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ( November 12, 2010) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty (GPM) is pleased to announce that six new associates—Angela Downin, Maisa Frank, Hailey Hollenhorst, Meghann Kantke, Brianna Mooty, and Matthew Plowman—have joined the firm.

Angela Downin is an associate focusing in the areas of business and securities law. She earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Prior to joining GPM, Downin worked for a major automobile manufacturer in finance and franchising and served as assistant corporate counsel for a technology startup company focusing in software development.

Maisa Frank joins GPM as an associate with the Franchise & Distribution practice group. She earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she wrote for the Minnesota Law Review. Frank served as a summer associate at GPM in 2008 and 2009.

Hailey Hollenhorst is an associate with the Banking & Financial Services practice group and covers a wide variety of subject matters, including commercial and consumer finance. She earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was a senior editor for International Law Review. During law school, Harren also received a certificate in tax law.

Meghann Kantke is an associate with the Employment & Labor practice group. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she was symposium editor of the University of St. Thomas Law Journal. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Kantke worked for a leadership development firm where she had the opportunity to serve clients in Europe and Asia.

Brianna Mooty joins GPM as an associate with the firm’s Trust, Estate & Charitable Planning practice group. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was lead student articles editor of Law & Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice. Mooty served as a summer associate at GPM in 2009.

Matthew Plowman is an associate with the Litigation practice group. He earned his J.D.,summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law, where he was assistant editor of William Mitchell Law Review. Plowman is involved in trial and appellate advocacy for clients in state and federal court, covering such areas as tort litigation, general liability, and insurance coverage matters. Before joining GPM, his career was in the property/casualty insurance industry.
