Gray Plant Mooty Welcomes New Real Estate Attorney

2/1/2019

MINNEAPOLIS (February 1, 2019) – Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that real estate attorney Brad Heitzinger has joined the firm. His practice will be based out of the firm’s Minneapolis office.

With an LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law in taxation law, Brad is uniquely skilled to advise clients on matters of tax planning, tax credit transactions, structuring, international taxation, and opportunity zones—a program allowing preferential tax treatment on qualified real estate investments that was established in the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017.

In addition to tax law, Brad advises individuals, corporations, and nonprofits on a broad range of real estate transactions, including development, leasing, financing, and cross-border transactions. He has also assumed the role of outside general counsel for his clients. He obtained his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in Nebraska.

Brad is an avid sports enthusiast who grew up in South Saint Paul playing soccer, golf, and hockey. While he is a Minnesota native, he has lived on both coasts—on the West Coast in Seattle and San Francisco and on the East Coast in New York City.
