Gray Plant Mooty Welcomes 7 New Attorneys in March

MINNEAPOLIS (March 25, 2016) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce the hiring of seven new attorneys in the firm’s Minneapolis and Washington, D.C. offices in March 2016.

Sam Sigelman joins the firm’s Banking & Financial Services Practice Group as a principal, practicing out of the firm’s Minneapolis office. Sam focuses his practice in banking and lending issues, including work outs, litigation, and receiverships. Sam is the former president of the Hamline University School of Law Alumni Board and regularly lectures on receiverships and lending litigation issues. He previously practiced at Lindquist & Vennum LLP.

Diana Vilmenay joins the firm’s Franchise & Distribution Practice Group as special counsel, practicing out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Diana represents clients in domestic and international franchise matters, with particular experience in international franchise system development. Diana is an editor for the “Franchising In” international series, published by the LexNoir Foundation, which recently published books on franchising in Africa and Asia. She previously practiced at Nixon Peabody.

Whitney Fore joins the firm’s Franchise & Distribution Practice Group as an associate, practicing out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Whitney counsels franchisors in matters pertaining to franchise and business opportunity regulatory compliance, contract disputes, investigations by state regulatory authorities, and litigation. She previously practiced at Carlton Fields.

Neil Goldsmith joins the firm’s Labor, Employment & Higher Education Practice Group as an associate, practicing out of the firm’s Minneapolis office. Neil advises employers on labor relations issues and handles complex litigation before federal courts and administrative agencies nationwide. In addition to his legal practice, Neil serves as an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He previously practiced at Littler Mendelson.

Edward Tully joins the firm’s Trust, Estate & Charitable Planning Practice Group as an associate, practicing out of the firm’s Minneapolis office. Edward centers his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, business planning matters, and corporate law. He previously practiced at Lathrop & Gage LLP.

These five attorneys join principal Ryan Palmer and special counsel Lavon Emerson-Henry, who joined the Franchise & Distribution Practice Group earlier in the month.
