Gray Plant Mooty Named a “Best Law Firm for Women”
Minneapolis (July 16, 2019) — Working Mother revealed its 12th “Best Law Firms for Women” list today, recognizing firms that utilize best practices in recruiting, retaining, promoting, and developing women lawyers. For the seventh time, Gray Plant Mooty was among the 60 firms that earned a spot on this year’s list.
The full list, available here, highlights law firms that averaged 37 percent women among new equity partners, compared with only 27 percent five years ago. “By highlighting what our top firms are doing, we hope others in the legal community will follow,” said Meredith Bodgas, editor-in-chief of Working Mother.

Several of the Best Law Firms for Women, Gray Plant Mooty included, also now offer parent-resource groups, in support of moms and dads; and have expanded women’s initiatives and programs dedicated to the mentoring, sponsorship, and promotion of female lawyers, as well as diversity and inclusion programs.
About the Methodology
The 2019 Working Mother Best Law Firms for Women application, administered by the Working Mother Research Institute, included more than 300 questions about attorney demographics at different levels, schedule flexibility, paid time off and parental leaves, and development and retention of women.
