Gray Plant Mooty Client RMH Franchise Holdings Named 2014 Dealmaker of the Year

2/21/2014

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (February 19, 2014) — The Minneapolis-based law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to share that GPM client RMH Franchise Holdings was recently named a 2014 Dealmaker of the Year by Franchise Times for acquiring 138 Applebee’s restaurants and additional development rights in three separate transactions over twelve months. Both Gray Plant Mooty and Hogan Lovells US LLP advised RMH during these transactions on franchise matters and on finance/corporate matters, respectively.

This is the second annual year for the Franchise Times Dealmakers awards, a project recognizing the boldest players driving mergers and acquisitions in franchising, and the second year that a Gray Plant Mooty client has won the award. “These dealmakers are smart, relentless, and creative in driving capital toward the best companies in franchising,” says Beth Ewen, managing editor for the Franchise Times Dealmakers project. Nominations were sent in for deals completed between July 2012 and December 2013 and selected by a 13-member panel of judges, all experts in franchise finance. Criteria included deal complexity and impact on company performance. Winners will be featured in the April edition of Franchise Times.
