Daryn McBeth Named President of Minnesota Governmental Relations Council Board of Directors

MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 20, 2017) – Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Daryn McBeth has been selected by his peers as president of the board of directors of the Minnesota Governmental Relations Council (MGRC). Daryn serves as a government relations specialist at Gray Plant Mooty, as well as the chair of the firm’s Agribusiness and Public Affairs Committee.

Formed in 1979, the MGRC is an association of over 500 governmental relations professionals and lobbyists that provides advocacy, professional development, networking, and an enhanced working experience inside and outside the Capitol. The organization works to promote ethical representation in the public policy process.

Daryn is an experienced food and agriculture industry professional specializing in government relations, state and federal politics, industry relations, and legislative and regulatory services. For nearly ten years, Daryn led the Minnesota Agri-Growth Council, where he developed and directed the association’s government and public affairs initiatives on behalf of more than 200 members ranging from Fortune 500 companies to producer groups and diverse business interests. Before being named president of the MGRC board of directors, he served as the board’s treasurer.
