Attorneys Recognized for Pro Bono Service

June 14, 2019

MINNEAPOLIS (June 14, 2019) — Each year Gray Plant Mooty attorneys provide pro bono counsel to numerous organizations and individuals in need of legal services. And, each year several of the firm’s attorneys are recognized as North Star Lawyers for providing at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services to low-income people during the past 12 months. The following Gray Plant Mooty attorneys based in Minnesota were recognized for their voluntary service during 2018 by Bench & Bar of Minnesota magazine:

  • Dion Farganis
  • Gregory R. Merz

The pro bono services of these Minnesota-based Gray Plant Mooty attorneys assisted children, adults, and groups in a wide range of legal service areas, including adoption, business, copyright, entrepreneurial, environmental, financial, housing, human rights, real estate, tax, and more.

The Minnesota State Bar Association recognized over 934 North Star Lawyers who, in 2018, certified that they provided at least 50 hours of legal services to people in need for no fee. Together, the North Star Lawyers contributed more than 110,500 hours of service at an estimated value of $27.6 million for the past year.
