Wealth Strategies Attorney Joins Lathrop Gage in Kansas City
Kansas City, MO (Feb. 25, 2019) – Lathrop Gage is pleased to welcome Aaron McCarter as a Wealth Strategies Associate in the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri, office. McCarter focuses his practice in estate planning and also has experience with other planning matters including tax and entity asset planning, foreign asset planning, and Medicaid and Veterans Affairs pension planning.
McCarter previously practiced at a boutique estate planning firm, where he worked on numerous probates, estates, wills/trusts and other planning matters including interpreting, defending and litigating estate planning issues, and worked with clients ranging from individuals to high net-worth businesses on asset protection and income and estate tax mitigation. Prior to his legal career, McCarter worked as a tax researcher and as a technical writer, working with clients on international, local and medical tax matters.
McCarter received his LL.M. in Taxation, 2011, and his Juris Doctor, 2010, from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where he was named to Order of the Barristers. He received his B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Missouri – Columbia, 2005, where he was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Student Judicial Board.
