Three Lathrop Gage Attorneys Recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 11, 2017) – Lathrop Gage attorneys Emily E. Cantwell, Joshua B. Christensen and Jehan Kamil Moore are recognized among Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s 2017 Up & Coming class.

The 2017 Up & Coming class has 58 members who stand out from their peers, and Lathrop Gage is privileged to have three of those honorees.

“The attorneys selected for this recognition demonstrate the talent and diversity of the young attorneys at our firm,” said Lathrop Gage CEO Mark Bluhm. “We are proud they are recognized for their skills, leadership, and commitment to their communities.”

Cantwell, based in Lathrop Gage’s St. Louis office, focuses her practice on commercial, banking and real estate litigation, and employment law. She is also helping to shape the future of the state of Missouri through her political involvement and accomplishments.

Before joining the firm, Christensen clerked for Judge L. Scott Coogler of the Northern District of Alabama. He focuses his practice on trial and appellate litigation in a variety of areas, including tort, employment, and breach-of-contract claims. He has successfully argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of the Missouri Court of Appeals, with multiple published decisions in favor of clients. He’s based in Lathrop Gage’s Springfield office.

Moore is a talented attorney whose practice focuses on business disputes, such as litigation related to consumer lending, breach of contract and business torts, and employment litigation, defending employers in a variety of matters, including wages disputes and claims of discrimination and retaliation. Based in Lathrop Gage’s Kansas City office, she was selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) as a Fellow earlier this year.

They will be honored at an awards luncheon on October 6, 2017, at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.

The Missouri Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming awards recognize legal professionals who are 40 years old or younger, or within the first 10 years of practice, who demonstrate excellence and show potential to make a difference in the legal profession and their communities.
