Lathrop Gage Promotes Four to Partner

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Jan. 17, 2017)  Lathrop Gage promoted four of its attorneys to Partner status, effective January 1, 2017. The newly elected partners are Hissan Anis, Kate O’Hara Gasper, Brian Mack and Mark Webster.

Hissan Anis (Intellectual Property - Overland Park, KS): Anis is a registered patent attorney and provides strategic patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret counseling. He has experience in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, agriculture, biotechnology, retail and software. Prior to receiving his juris doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, Anis worked as an electrical engineer at a large engineering firm.

Kate O’Hara Gasper (Litigation – Kansas City): Gasper represents clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation and arbitration involving breach of contract matters, business torts, covenants not to compete, intellectual property, professional liability and insurance coverage. She received her juris doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law.

Brian Mack (Intellectual Property – Overland Park, KS): Mack is a registered patent attorney who counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property. He specializes in aerospace and mechanical arts, including combustion, gas turbine components, power plant applications and transportation equipment. He is a named inventor on 17 gas turbine-related patents and prior to practicing law worked as a mechanical design engineer in the aerospace and power generation industries. Mack earned his juris doctor from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

Mark Webster (Real Estate – Overland Park, KS): Webster is a real estate attorney with broad experience in leasing, sales agreements, title matters, loan documents and advising clients on real estate and financing transactions. He also represents clients in corporate legal matters including the formation, operation and management of business entities, contract negotiations and business transactions. He received a juris doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
