Mary Birch Earns Award from Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (Dec. 20, 2010) – Mary Birch, Government Relations Coordinator at Lathrop Gage, recently earned the “Ben Craig Vision Award” from the Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council (OPEDC) for her outstanding contributions to economic development and quality of life in Overland Park. Birch will be honored at the Fourth Annual Honors Luncheon on January 6, 2011, at the Johnson County Community College Regnier Center.

The OPEDC facilitates business recruitment by providing information and services to encourage and assist relocation decisions. The organization also works with existing businesses to identify and address growth opportunities and issues. It monitors trends and conditions and provides guidance to maintain and expand Overland Park’s business base.

Birch puts her 18 years of economic development experience at the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce to good use at Lathrop Gage, where she assists clients with moving and expansions as it relates to local and state economic development programs and agencies. In 2002, she was named “Johnson Countian of the Year” by Johnson County Community College.
