GPM August Pro Bono Spotlight

8/3/2016

For the past seven months, GPM attorney Julia Colarusso (from the firm's Washington, D.C. office) has served as a volunteer attorney with Hogar Immigrant Services, a division of the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington. Hogar hosts monthly workshops in Northern Virginia for clients who need assistance in completing their N-400 naturalization applications and in preparing for their citizenship interview before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The N-400 is a twenty-page form that asks detailed questions about the applicant’s immigration status; present and past residences; education; places of employment; and family, marital, and criminal history. As a volunteer attorney, Julia has assisted several clients in determining their eligibility for naturalization, reviewing their personal records, completing their N-400 applications, and putting them on the path toward citizenship.
