Legal Update for the Modern Workplace: New Developments in the Labor Law and How They Affect Every Union and Non-Union Employer

Date
10/3/2012

Firm Event

Presented by: Gray Plant Mooty

Join other professionals from Central Minnesota for legal updates on hot topics facing local businesses.

Designed for busy HR professionals, business owners, and managers, this brief seminar will address legal developments affecting the modern workplace and why no employer today can afford to ignore the traditional labor law or the risks of union organizing.

Though unionization is at historical lows, the federal labor law still applies to almost all private employers, not just those with unionized workers. It affects a wide variety of employer policies and practices, including policies on social media, employment-at-will, and confidentiality. Non-union employers have become a key enforcement focus of the current National Labor Relations Board.

Join Gray Plant Mooty’s Labor Team to learn about the latest developments in labor and employment law and what they mean for you in managing the modern workplace.
