The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) Dear Colleague Letter on Title IX is close to two years old, but many institutions are still struggling to determine best practices for compliance. And now, as part of reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act, Congress has amended the Clery Act with even more requirements about the contents of sexual misconduct policies and procedures. We’ll review the Dear Colleague Letter and Clery Act Amendments and suggest strategies for compliance. This session will be helpful for Title IX coordinators and any other institutional employees who have responsibility for sexual harassment and sexual assault policies and complaints.
