Repertory Theatre of St. Louis Names Wendi Alper-Pressman to Board of Directors


The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has named Wendi Alper-Pressman (Bankruptcy - Clayton) to the theatre's board of directors for the 2009-10 season. St. Louis Rep is the largest theatre company in the region and kicked off its season this month with a production of Amadeus by Peter Shaffer.

Though this is her first time being named to this prestigious board, Ms. Alper-Pressman has been an active leader in the St. Louis community throughout her career. Her principal focus is on the representation of banks, thrifts and other financial institutions in connection with lending and other financing transactions, loan workouts and restructurings, forbearance agreements, foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings, enforcement actions, lender liability and other litigation. She also represents purchasers of distressed assets both in and outside of bankruptcy proceedings.

In her professional practice, Ms. Alper-Pressman's bankruptcy expertise ranges from the preparation of routine filings on behalf of unsecured creditors to the development and implementation of sophisticated strategies on behalf of secured creditors, equipment lessors, landlords and official unsecured creditors' committees, including retiree committees. She has also litigated dischargeability complaints, preferences and fraudulent conveyance actions, issues in connection with the allowance of claims, validity of liens and executory contracts. She is a graduate of the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
