Thomas V. Murray Reappointed to Kansas Board of Law Examiners

Lathrop Gage attorney Thomas V. Murray (Business Litigation -- Overland Park), has been reappointed to serve on the Kansas Board of Law Examiners, on which he has served since 1995. Mr. Murray has served as Chairman of the Board of Law Examiners since 2006.

The Kansas Board of Law Examiners oversees the admission of attorneys to practice law in Kansas. Board members are appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court, and their terms are for three years.

Mr. Murray has been with Lathrop Gage since January 2004. He has handled many trials in state and federal courts, including related appellate cases, since 1972. His extensive litigation practice has encompassed complex business, commercial, and financial cases, insurance defense and personal injury litigation, insurance coverage litigation and real estate litigation.

A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Murray has defended numerous companies in employment matters. He has also handled significant banking litigation matters, in particular lender liability cases, and served on the board of directors of a national bank for twelve years.
