St. Louis Business Journal Honors Kurt Schaefer with 2009 Legislative Award

Lathrop Gage attorney Kurt Schaefer (Environmental - Jefferson City) has been honored with a 2009 "Legislative Award" from the St. Louis Business Journal. Each year the publication selects Missouri legislators who have shown exemplary representation of their constituents. Mr. Schaefer is a state senator for District 19.

"The 13 state representatives and eight senators we're recognizing this year pushed for legislation to help bring good-paying jobs to the state and spur business growth," the publication wrote. "They battled to protect historic tax credits and other programs that have helped this city and others across the state redevelop forgotten neighborhoods."

Mr. Schaefer's legal practice focuses on litigation, environmental, health care, governmental relations, administrative, business and public utilities. He is the former General Counsel and Deputy Director of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Special Counsel to the Governor, Special Counsel to the Missouri Department of Agriculture and Assistant Attorney General.
