Three Gray Plant Mooty Attorneys Earn Certified Franchise Executive Designation

2/18/2013

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (February 18, 2013) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Mike Gray, Gaylen Knack, and Kate Nilan have earned the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation awarded by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives—the academic branch of the International Franchise Association (IFA)’s Educational Foundation.

All three were recognized in a ceremony at the IFA’s 2013 annual convention in Las Vegas, and collectively they increased Gray Plant Mooty’s roster of CFEs to seven; John Fitzgerald earned his CFE designation in 2009, Kirk Reilly and Max Schott earned their designations in 2011, and Liz Dillon in 2012.

Candidates are required to complete a rigorous course of study to earn the CFE designation, which includes attending institute-sponsored educational seminars and workshops. The program enhances franchising professionals’ understanding of both the industry’s fundamental and complex aspects.

Gray Plant Mooty continues to be a supporter of the Certified Franchise Executive program, and for the second year in a row they offered the Gray Plant Mooty CFE Scholarship Program, which was awarded to Ashley Mills, a senior field consultant of the Spice & Tea Exchange, who is currently taking classes to earn the designation.
