Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal Names Gray Plant Mooty’s Kermit Nash a “40 Under Forty” Honoree

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (March 19, 2012) — The Minneapolis-based law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that attorney Kermit J. Nash has been named a 2012 “40 Under Forty” honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The business newspaper’s annual honors recognize a select group of Twin Cities’ leaders under the age of forty.

Nash is shareholder with Gray Plant Mooty and a member of the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services group. He serves as corporate counsel to numerous privately-held domestic and international companies, advising his clients on all aspects of business operations and law, with an emphasis in medical device & biotechnology, business law, agribusiness, energy, and mergers & acquisitions.

Nash represents and advises clients in a variety of industries, including high tech, medical devices, life sciences, private equity, agricultural and food processing, oil & gas, manufacturing, software, and e-commerce. He also represents clients’ interests in various business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, sales, financing, licensing, distribution intellectual property management, and strategic planning. Nash counsels clients on commercialization strategies and he applies his value-added experience to advance his clients’ success through use of his network, business skills, and serving as “external in-house legal counsel.”

Nash is a frequent presenter at international conferences regarding commercialization strategies for high tech and life science companies. He works with numerous Scandinavian and European-based companies in their U.S. fundraising, compliance, and operational requirements. Nash has recently served as U.S. counsel to medical device, life science, and clean technology companies looking to integrate their technology and products into the U.S. market.

In his spare time, Nash frequently lectures on business ethics, business law, and contracts. He has been an adjunct professor at Northwestern College for a number of years, where he has taught business law, contracts, and business ethics. Nash received his J.D. from the Hamline University School of Law.
