Intellectual Property and Advertising Law Expert Sheldon Klein Joins Gray Plant Mooty
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (June 29, 2011) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Sheldon H. Klein, a highly regarded intellectual property and advertising law attorney, has joined the firm’s Washington, DC, office.
Klein joins Gray Plant Mooty as a principal with the firm’s Trademark and Franchise & Distribution practices. He has significant experience in counseling, portfolio management, litigation, licensing, and transactions in the areas of trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and advertising law. Klein assists clients with a wide range of issues, including selection, clearance, and registration of new trademarks, and he frequently conducts intellectual property audits and due diligence investigations. Klein also enforces intellectual property rights via federal district court litigation, appellate litigation, and opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and foreign trademark offices.
Klein represents clients in a variety of industries, including franchise, Internet/e-commerce, advertising, telecommunications, broadcast, entertainment, manufacturing, building, food, pharmaceutical, medical device, banking, insurance, and hospitality. He also serves as a trademark law expert in litigation and arbitration.
Klein is a member—and former officer and board member—of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). He’s also an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
