Gray Plant Mooty’s Jennifer Reedstrom Bishop Named Minneapolis Nonprofit and Charities “Lawyer of the Year”

8/19/2014

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (August 19, 2014) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that lawyer Jennifer Reedstrom Bishop has been named "Lawyer of the Year” in Non-Profit/Charities Law by The Best Lawyers In America© 2015 list.

The new The Best Lawyers In America© 2015 list is based on a rigorous national survey involving more than four million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers. Only one attorney per practice and metropolitan area receives the selective “Lawyer of the Year” designation. Since the designation’s formation, several Gray Plant Mooty principals have received this stamp of excellence. Bishop is the second firm principal to be named “Lawyer of the Year” in Non-Profit/Charities Law, following Clinton A. Schroeder in 2010.

In the nonprofit sphere, Bishop represents a wide range of organizations ranging from start-up nonprofits to well-established foundations and multi-entity nonprofit operating systems. She is experienced in nonprofit issues from conflict of interest, intermediate sanction and governance matters to joint ventures, public charity status, and private foundation issues. She is chair of the Gray Plant Mooty Health & Nonprofit Organizations practice group that provides legal services to many health care providers and nonprofit organizations throughout the region.
