Gray Plant Mooty’s Henry Wang is New Chair of Minnesota State Bar Association Bankruptcy Law Section

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (June 6, 2011) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Henry Wang, a shareholder in the firm’s Commercial Financial Services practice group, is the new chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA)’s Bankruptcy Law Section.

The MSBA Bankruptcy Law Section—which Wang previously served as vice chair—promotes interaction and education among practitioners of debtor/creditor law, bankruptcy judges, and the public through regular meetings, educational programs, a monthly mentoring program, and pro bono services. Wang will also serve as chair of the 2011 Bankruptcy Law Institute.

Wang’s practice with Gray Plant Mooty is focused in the areas of reorganization and bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, franchise law, and real estate. He practices throughout the U.S. representing franchisors and secured and unsecured creditors in preferential transfer litigation, nondischargeability litigation, the claims resolution process, as well as various other aspects of bankruptcy litigation in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Wang also counsels clients regarding real estate leasing transactions.

Wang earned his J.D., cum laude, from the William Mitchell College of Law in 2003.
