Gray Plant Mooty’s Daniel R. Shulman Named a 2012 Attorney of the Year
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (December 19, 2012) — Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Daniel (Dan) R. Shulman was named as one of Minnesota Lawyer’s 2012 Attorneys of the Year.
Shulman has made outstanding contributions to the legal community, the public in the state of Minnesota, and as a member of Gray Plant Mooty’s antitrust, trial, and complex litigation practice areas. He has been chief counsel in antitrust litigation involving major industries in a variety of cases since 1970 ranging from data storage, media, food, oil and gasoline, airlines, consumer electronics, medical electronics, health care, and many other areas. Shulman’s expertise has been invaluable as counsel in trademark and patent infringement actions, and in an active pro bono civil rights practice.
“I’m thrilled to be chosen as a recipient of this year’s Attorneys of the Year,” said Shulman. “I have a life-long commitment to the legal profession, with a strong affinity for providing pro bono services, and fortunate to have had many interesting and challenging cases throughout my career, such as the recent LCD flat panel class action settlement, which really made an impact on the community.”
Dan has deep roots in pro bono work and continues to be involved in cases such as: helping in negotiations on funding and compliance issues for Head Start in Minneapolis, representation of parents and students in school desegregation matters, and a successful challenge to a St. Louis Park housing ordinance.
Each year, Minnesota Lawyer recognizes the best achievements in the Minnesota legal profession with the Attorneys of the Year awards.
