Gray Plant Mooty Hires 2 New Labor & Employment Associates

MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 4, 2017) – The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce the hiring of two new associates in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Both will practice in the firm’s Labor, Employment & Higher Education Practice Group.

Emily Mawer represents a wide range of employers in litigation pertaining to labor and employment issues. She also advises employers on compliance issues, helping them to develop practices that minimize their legal risk. Emily draws on her experience in employment and general commercial litigation, having worked with clients in industries including health care, construction, and financial services. She has also represented clients in appeals in state and federal court.

Tessa Mlsna advises and represents employers in matters pertaining to labor and employment law, including discrimination charges and litigation, whistleblower and retaliation lawsuits, leave and disability issues, and employee handbooks and policies. As a litigator, she has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other federal and state administrative bodies. Tessa has also worked on traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining and grievance arbitration.
