Gray Plant Mooty Establishes New IFA Certified Franchise Executive Scholarships

4/28/2011

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (April 28, 2011) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is proud to announce the creation of new International Franchise Association (IFA) Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) scholarships, funded by the Gray Play Mooty Foundation.

The Gray Plant Mooty Foundation, which is funded by Gray Plant Mooty lawyers and staff, has pledged to contribute $5,000 annually to the IFA Educational Foundation to fund scholarships for founders, executives, and managers of companies that have been franchising in the U.S. for five years or less to attend the IFA’s CFE educational programs.

New franchisors stand to benefit the most from IFA CFE programming, but often lack the resources to acquire the education enabling them to become better franchisors. Therefore, leaders of young franchisors will be the primary recipients of the Gray Plant Mooty CFE Scholarship Program.

Two $2,500 scholarships will be made available each year, for which the proceeds must be used to attend IFA CFE courses within three years of the date of the award. Unused funds at the end of the three-year period will revert to the Gray Plant Mooty scholarship funds held within the IFA Educational Foundation.

More information on the Gray Plant Mooty CFE Scholarship Program can be obtained on the CFE section of the IFA Web site.
