Andrew Steil Joins Gray Plant Mooty
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (August 4, 2011) — The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Andrew J. Steil has joined the firm’s St. Cloud office as an associate with the Litigation practice group.
Steil concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, collections, foreclosures, lending, liens, and bankruptcy. He frequently advises lenders, suppliers, and other creditors on a variety of legal issues relating to litigation, debt collection, bankruptcy, and foreclosures.
Prior to joining Gray Plant Mooty, Steil practiced with another St. Cloud law firm, focusing on collections and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He also represented banks and other creditors in litigation, lending, foreclosure, and collections. Steil has participated as lead counsel in numerous foreclosure and collection actions exceeding $1 million in principal. He has represented lenders in a variety of SBA loan liquidations and collections, and suppliers in bankruptcy preference and nondischargeability cases. Steil is a frequent speaker at industry and continuing legal education seminars regarding various collection laws, foreclosures, and related lending topics.
When not practicing law, Steil is very active with community service organizations in Central Minnesota, including the United Way of Central Minnesota, the St. Cloud Rotary, the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, and the Minnesota State Bar Association High School Mock Trial Advisory Committee.
Steil received his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law.
