Lathrop Gage Adds Associates in Kansas City and Overland Park
Kansas City, MO. (Oct. 23, 2018) – Lathrop Gage is pleased to welcome two new associates to the firm in two practice areas. Brian N. Lynn joins the Wealth Strategies practice in Kansas City, and Kyle J. Craig joins the Real Estate practice in Overland Park.
Lynn joins the firm’s Wealth Strategies team, having previously assisted this practice group as a summer associate. Lynn received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, 2018, where he served as a tax intern for KU Legal Services for Students. He also gained experience during law school serving as a law clerk for Kansas Legal Services and a Kansas City-based firm, where he worked on ERISA multi-employer plan issues, assisted in drafting tax controversy documents for the IRS on behalf of clients as well as researched and drafted memorandums for numerous ERISA issues, ACA proposed rules, plan document issues and benefit coverage issues. Prior to law school, Lynn worked as an accounting clerk at a national law firm managing the expense portion of an insurance legal audit and served as the point of contact for client billing inquires. Lynn received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, 2011.
Craig joins the firm’s Real Estate team. He previously served as legal counsel for Netherlands-based food ingredients maker Corbion, in their Lenexa, Kansas office. While there, he drafted and negotiated commercial contracts and handled a variety of general corporate matters. Craig also worked for a Wichita, Kansas firm, where he handled both transactional and litigation matters. Craig received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, 2016, where he was Staff Editor for University of Kansas Law Review and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Kansas, 2012.
