Alison Zinn Appointed to Judicial District Nominating Commission for Colorado's 1st Judicial District

Denver, CO (January 10, 2018) – Alison Zinn, a partner in Lathrop Gage’s Wealth Strategies practice, was appointed by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper to the Judicial District Nominating Commission for the 1st Judicial District.

The Judicial District Nominating Commission selects nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. There is a Judicial District Nominating Commission for each of Colorado’s 22 judicial districts. Each district is chaired by a justice of the Supreme Court, who is a non-voting member of the commission. Zinn will serve her appointment as an attorney and unaffiliated with any political party. Her term will expire December 31, 2023.

Zinn is a trial attorney focused on trust and estate litigation and elder law, and is well-versed in all areas of trial strategy. She was honored as Denver Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” for 2018 by Best Lawyers in America.

She also serves on the Colorado Attorney Regulation Committee, and on the Executive Counsel for the Colorado Bar Association. Zinn served as President of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association for the 2014-15 fiscal year.
