Lathrop Gage Attorneys in Inaugural Class of CLSA Charter Fellows

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 15, 2017) – Partners from Lathrop Gage are now members of an exclusive and prestigious club. Richard Rhyne and Michael Textor were selected as Charter Fellows for the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA), an invitation-only honorary society with limited membership from the United States and internationally.

The partners are being inducted into the inaugural class, which is limited to less than 300 attorneys world-wide, this week at the CLSA International Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Additionally, Lathrop Gage LLP will receive a 2017 CLSA Law Firm Award, recognizing the firm for excellence in construction law.

Rhyne has more than 40 years of experience representing clients in complex commercial law and business litigation matters in state and federal courts around the country. Because of his background in construction law, he understands the intricacies of the relationships between owners, general contractors, and subcontractors, and is masterful at getting construction and design related disputes resolved amicably.   Rhyne is in the firm’s Kansas City office.

Textor has a national trial practice that focuses on construction, design, and real estate. He represents public and private project owners, engineers, design-builders, architects, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and materials suppliers. Textor is in the firm’s Springfield office.

Fellows are selected based on excellence and accomplishment in construction law and closely related specialties, from the transactional level to trial and appellate levels. Membership is limited to 1,200 practicing Fellows from the U.S. and internationally, and is selected and invited after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in construction law, as well as ethical standing.
