Four Lathrop Gage Partners Recognized for Early Career Success

8/6/2015

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 6, 2015) – Lathrop Gage Partners, Chad Blomberg, Sarah Millin, Amy Brozenic and Julie Gabel recently obtained the 2015 Up & Coming and Law Firm Leader awards from Missouri Lawyers Weekly.

With four honorees, Lathrop Gage had more attorneys recognized than any other law firm in Missouri. Blomberg and Millin are new members of the Up & Coming class while Brozenic and Gabel were selected as Law Firm Leaders.

“With our recent practice group restructuring, nearly half of our practice team leaders are under the age of 45, which gives even more opportunities for our younger attorneys to grow and lead,” said Lathrop Gage CEO Mark Bluhm. “These awards validate the leadership they have demonstrated.”

Blomberg focuses his practice in toxic and mass tort, particularly in defending agricultural and mining interests against claims from neighboring landowners and government entities. He has extensive experience in every phase of litigation and has won several cases related to the defense of religious organizations and railroads.

Millin is the co-leader of the Policyholder and Insurance Coverage practice team and focuses her practice on the litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation of complex claims in the areas of insurance recovery. She represents both corporate and individual policyholders in a variety of industries at every point of the claim spectrum.

Brozenic is the co-leader of the Intellectual Property Transactions – Trademark & Copyright team. Her experience includes drafting licensing and assignment agreements for various forms of intellectual property and examining trademark applications to ensure compliance with the Lanham Act and United States Patent & Trademark Office procedural requirements.

Gabel focuses her practice on tax credit financing and development, specifically real estate finance, partnership formation, and tax credit law. She works with lenders, developers, and equity investors in a variety of real estate and financing matters.

The Missouri Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming awards recognize legal professionals who are 40 years old or younger, or within the first 10 years of practice who demonstrate excellence and show potential to make a difference in the legal profession and their communities.
