Lathrop Gage Continues Growth of Tax Credit Finance Team in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (April 24, 2015) – Lathrop Gage has added associates Karen Rippelmeyer and Nicholas Theodore to its Real Estate practice in St. Louis. The attorneys add broad knowledge and experience to the firm’s tax credit financing client offerings in Missouri and Illinois.  

Formerly with Ernst & Young LLP, Rippelmeyer has five years of experience in a variety of corporate and partnership tax matters for both public and private entities in the St. Louis and Chicago markets. Leveraging this experience, Rippelmeyer focuses her practice on real estate and tax credit financing. She works with equity investors, developers, lenders and tax credit allocatees in a variety of complex real estate matters involving federal, state and local tax credits and incentives including new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and low-income housing tax credits. She received her juris doctor with a concentration in taxation from Saint Louis University School of Law.

Theodore joins the firm from Blake & Uhlig, P.A. He focuses his practice on real estate and tax credit financing matters. He regularly works with equity investors, developers, lenders and tax credit allocatees to craft creative real estate strategies involving a wide variety of tax credits. He also advises clients on various real estate issues regarding the acquisition, development, and financing of commercial, senior, and multi-family residential property. He obtained his juris doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law.
