Lathrop Gage Welcomes Business Litigator and Energy Associate
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 9, 2014) – Lathrop Gage LLP announced today that Russell Headrick will join the firm’s business litigation practice as senior counsel and Jennifer Hazelton will join the firm’s energy practice as an associate.
Headrick’s practice is focused on counseling life, health and disability insurers and self-insureds in all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. His media defense/First Amendment practice includes defending the media in defamation and privacy claims, and he maintains an active appellate practice at every level in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Headrick has been selected among The Best Lawyers in America since 1991. He obtained a bachelor of arts degree from Rhodes College and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Based in the firm’s Denver office, Hazelton is an experienced attorney in the oil and gas industry and will advise clients regarding federal and state regulations governing oil and gas exploration and production. She previously served as a regulatory compliance technician at the State of Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in Denver. Hazelton received a bachelor of arts degree from Colorado State University and her juris doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law.
