Lathrop Gage Promotes Eight to Partner

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (January 2, 2013) – Lathrop Gage LLP announced that Jeff Grant, Greer Lang, Lindsay Blevins Larrick, Patrick McRorie, Sarah Millin, Justin Nichols, Jason Peters and Kimberly Winter have been elected to partner status effective January 1, 2013.

Jeff Grant (Intellectual Property – Los Angeles): Grant litigates all varieties of civil matters including complex business, environmental, intellectual property and entertainment disputes. His experience includes numerous high-profile matters including litigating a wide range of disputes concerning copyrights and trademarks, patent infringement, claims of Internet advertising fraud, and product liability lawsuits. He has been named a “Rising Star” in business litigation and intellectual property litigation by Southern California Super Lawyers. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law.

Greer Lang (Business Litigation – Kansas City): Lang represents clients in litigated and non-litigated complex commercial and business-related disputes including breach of contract matters, partnership disputes, disputes involving covenants not to compete and other restrictive covenants, loan enforcement actions, construction matters, insurance disputes, regulatory matters, business torts and professional liability matters. She is a graduate of Washburn University School of Law.

Lindsay Blevins Larrick (Energy – Denver): Blevins focuses her practice on the areas of onshore oil and gas exploration and development transactions. She counsels clients in the acquisition and disposition of E&P companies and assets; and provides advice and prepares agreements in connection with exploration and development activities and related operational issues. She has also represented borrowers and lenders in connection with production based financing and other revolving credit facilities. She is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Patrick McRorie (Corporate – Denver): McRorie represents oil and gas operators in lease acquisition and related exploration and production issues. He concentrates on the drafting of drilling and division order title opinions as well as other transactional matters. He advises clients in several aspects of their exploration and production operations; and on the implications of working interest partners, net revenue interest owners and royalty interest owners with respect to payment of proceeds from the production of oil and gas. In 2012 he was selected among Colorado Super Lawyers “Rising Stars.” He is a graduate of California Western School of Law.

Sarah Millin (Business Litigation – Kansas City): Millin focuses her national practice on the litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiation of complex claims in the areas of insurance recovery. She represents and advises corporate and individual policyholders in policy analysis, claim development, charting, allocation, negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, coverage litigation and risk analysis. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.

Justin Nichols (Business Litigation – Kansas City): Nichols has extensive experience in banking and real estate litigation and regulatory fields, focusing his practice on loan enforcement actions, consumer lending disputes, real estate purchase contract and lease disputes, regulatory matters, Fair Credit Reporting Act claims, bankruptcy proceedings and related litigated and non-litigated matters. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.

Jason Peters (Real Estate – Overland Park): Peters advises clients in connection with real estate transactions and financing issues, prepares real estate documents, drafts loan documents and handles title matters and other due diligence tasks relating to the conveyance of real estate interests. He represents clients in the formation, operation and management of business entities, the negotiation and management of contractual relationships, and the completion of asset and stock transfers, mergers, dissolutions and other fundamental business transactions. He also counsels public and quasi-public entities in areas relating to local government and administrative law. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Kimberly Winter (Business Litigation – Kansas City): Winter has more than 16 years of experience in handling a wide variety of complex coverage disputes, analyzing policy terms, conducting insurance archeology, and negotiating with solvent and insolvent insurance carriers on behalf of policyholders facing long-tail environmental and product liability claims. She also has experience in the fields of insurance regulation and insolvency, and analyzing policies and advising clients on tips for negotiating coverage and handling claims and risks. She is a graduate of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
