ST. LOUIS (July 5, 2023) — Lathrop GPM LLP is proud to share that Laura Toledo, counsel in the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group, has been named among the 2023 Most Influential Business Women by the St. Louis Business Journal. The award is presented to female business leaders throughout the St. Louis region who are making strides in their business or industry.

"This recognition is personally meaningful and a testament to the incredible strides made by women in business," said Toledo. "I am honored to be recognized among such esteemed colleagues and business leaders in St. Louis. I firmly believe that together, we will continue to create opportunities, dismantle barriers, and reshape the future of business for all women and diverse people."

Emily Cantwell, partner in charge of the firm’s St. Louis office and past recipient of this award, added "We are so proud of Laura for all she has accomplished, both at the firm as a talented lawyer and in the St. Louis community as a dedicated public servant. It’s an honor to lead an office with so many outstanding women."

Toledo provides representation in all aspects of lending, loan workouts, restructurings and commercial collections litigation. She represents both lenders and borrowers in connection with loan financing, including construction loans, asset-based loans, and litigation finance transactions. She also provides guidance to business owners in debt-financed sales of business assets and businesses.

Additionally, Toledo is committed to improving her community through public service. She served for eight years as the Executive Director of the Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry, which provides housing and other critical services to women, leading the organization through significant growth and expansion. In this role, Laura obtained a certificate in business management for nonprofit leaders from Washington University and taught a course on nonprofit leadership and management at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She currently serves as a housing sub-committee member for the Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry and a member of the Altrusa International Club of St. Louis.
