Counsel William Schumacher Joins Lathrop GPM Financial Services Group and Minneapolis Office
MINNEAPOLIS (March 7, 2023) – Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome William Schumacher to the firm’s Minneapolis office and Financial Services Practice Group as counsel.
Schumacher represents and advises debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and other parties on business restructuring and reorganization. He has represented clients in a variety of industries, including retail, media, oil and gas, and healthcare. Schumacher is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Minnesota.

Prior to joining the firm, Schumacher practiced law in Los Angeles at two multinational firms. In addition, he clerked for the Honorable Robert N. Opel II with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was among the 2013 Summer Associate class at Lathrop GPM.
Schumacher earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, magna cum laude, in 2014 and B.S. in business and accounting from the University of Minnesota – Curtis L. Carlson School of Management in 2009. He is admitted in Minnesota and California.
