Two Attorneys Named to Missouri Power List for Environmental and Energy Law
(November 29, 2022) – Lathrop GPM Partners Ally Cunningham and Kurt Schaefer have been named to the Missouri Lawyers Media POWER List in Environmental and Energy Law. They are among 32 individuals recognized as Missouri’s most powerful attorneys in environmental and energy law.
Cunningham was for her work representing companies in PFAS matters, Price-Anderson Act lawsuits and claims related to residual nuclear waste leftover from the Manhattan Project. Cunningham focuses her practice on the areas of environmental, toxic tort and other crisis-related litigation. She advises clients on compliance and permitting under federal and state environmental laws and regulations,.
Schaefer, a former Missouri state senator and general counsel for the Department of Natural Resources, was for his work with toxic tort defense and other appellate litigation. Schaefer’s practice focuses on litigation, environmental, health care, administrative, agricultural, business and public utilities. He has briefed and argued over 100 appellate actions before all three districts of the Missouri Court of Appeals and Missouri Supreme Court and handled more than 90 administrative proceedings before various state permitting and licensing agencies.
