Two Lathrop GPM IP Partners Recognized as 2022 Global Leaders by World Trademark Review
Minneapolis, MN (October 12, 2022) – Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that intellectual property partners Ashley Bennett Ewald and Dean Eyler have been recognized by the World Trademark Review (WTR) as Global Leaders in Private Practice for 2022. They are among only 13 intellectual property lawyers from private practices to be recognized in the state of Minnesota.
This is the fourth edition of WTR Global Leaders, which brings together the world’s foremost law firm and corporate trademark experts. It draws on other market-leading research projects, the WTR 1000 and the WTR 300, to identify the “best of the best” in trademark practice. Both Ewald and Eyler were also named to the WTR 1000 for 2022.
Ashley Bennett Ewald is an experienced intellectual property litigator who focuses her practice on trademark prosecution and portfolio management. In addition, she provides copyright, advertising and social media law counseling. Ewald regularly advises clients on the selection, clearance and registration of trademarks and copyrights in the U.S. and internationally. She also develops intellectual property enforcement, brand strategy and social media plans for clients ranging from small startups to large multinational corporations. Ewald frequently represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in federal court actions and has successfully obtained transfer decisions in numerous Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution (UDRP) proceedings.
Dean Eyler is an experienced litigator who represents clients in intellectual property and complex commercial disputes. He has substantial experience in litigating trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secret and false advertising cases. Eyler devotes much of his practice to brand protection, trademark infringement and unfair competition litigation for clients in federal courts across the country and at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
