Insurance Recovery & Counseling Practice Group Leader Kim Winter was quoted in the MarketWatch article, “’It’s a huge decision’: Judge hands a win to businesses demanding insurance coverage for lost income due to coronavirus.” Kim commented on a recent Missouri court decision whereby Western District of Missouri Judge Stephen Bough ruled a group of business owners could proceed with a lawsuit against their insurance company for income lost during COVID-19 government shutdown orders. The decision provides precedent for policyholders “to use as persuasive authority in other cases,” Kim said.
