OIG 2014 Regulatory Focus: Your Practice in the Crosshairs

Date
3/13/2014

Firm Event & Webinar

Presented by: Health Law Group

Each year the Office of Inspector General (OIG) identifies specific areas where it intends to focus its audit and enforcement efforts.  With its enhanced budget and regulatory authority, the OIG’s efforts have been increasingly aggressive with 2013 expected recoveries of $5.8 billion; exclusions of 3,214 individuals and entities from participation in Federal health care programs; 960 criminal actions against individuals and entities engaged in crimes against HHS programs; and 472 civil actions.  For 2014, the OIG audit and enforcement efforts could potentially impact most of our clients, including physician groups, nursing homes, home health agencies, ancillary services providers, and hospitals.

To learn how your organization may be impacted by the new OIG audit and enforcement efforts, and what you can do to protect your organization, join the Gray Plant Mooty’s Health Law team on March 13, 2014 for a roundtable breakfast presentation and webinar to hear practical advice on proactive compliance measures to help you stay out of the regulators’ crosshairs in 2014.
