Firm Event & Webinar

Technological advancements and the emphasis on access to cost-effective health care have driven a rapid expansion of remote treatment and use of eHealth technologies. At the same time, states are attempting to keep pace by developing clear, workable legislation on telehealth and to clarify how existing laws apply to new eHealth technologies.

For providers who look to the use of eHealth technologies to serve their patients, understanding the multi-faceted regulatory framework involved is critical. Join us for a roundtable presentation on the key legal issues and questions that arise in telehealth care delivery.

We will review different approaches taken by states to regulate telehealth and highlight what providers and states should be considering as they seek to expand care delivery using eHealth technologies. We will also address a variety of problem areas, including privacy and security of patient data, the patient-provider relationship in a virtual treatment setting, internet prescribing, reimbursement, Stark and anti-kickback, licensure, and scope of practice.
