When the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) took effect on March 15, 2012, it lowered or eliminated tariffs on a broad range of goods. How does this good news affect my business? To explore that question and learn more about the benefits anticipated as a result of this historic agreement, join us May 22 for U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement—An Exporter’s Guide.
The featured speaker is Eric Sohn, a U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) official specializing in U.S. trade relations with the Republic of Korea. An advisor to DOC senior leadership on the U.S.-Korea Trade Agreement and the U.S.-Korea commercial relationship, Sohn will explain the mechanics of the FTA and how it can help Minnesota exporters.
In addition, a representative of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture will be on hand to highlight benefits of the FTA to exporters of agricultural commodities. The FTA is especially favorable to the state’s agricultural sector.
