Meenal Deshmukh, Ph.D.

Dr. Meenal Deshmukh is a registered patent agent practicing in the area of biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals. Her practice includes patent drafting and prosecution, global IP portfolio management, and freedom to operate analyses. She works with therapeutic antibodies, engineered microbes, engineered immune cells, nanotherapeutics, as well as small and large molecule pharmaceuticals.

Meenal’s research background is in microbial genetics and biochemistry. Before joining the firm, Meenal worked as a patent agent at a boutique IP law firm. Previously, she was a research scientist at an American multinational consumer products company, where she screened and evaluated new antimicrobial actives to enhance their oral care products. Meenal completed her Ph.D. and post-doctoral fellowship at The University of Pennsylvania where she elucidated the pathway for bacterial cytochrome c biogenesis.
