Effective January 1, 2026, Minnesota’s Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program will introduce sweeping changes for employers across the state. This webinar is designed to help HR professionals and business leaders understand their obligations and prepare for compliance with the new law.
In this webinar, Lathrop GPM Partners Megan Anderson and Caitlin Gehlen will cover:
- Qualifying Events: Learn what situations trigger eligibility for paid leave, including medical conditions, parental bonding, caregiving, safety concerns and military deployment.
- Leave Coordination: Understand how PFML interacts with other state and federal leave laws, including FMLA, Minnesota Parenting and Pregnancy Leave, and Earned Sick and Safe Time.
- State vs. Private Plans: Explore whether a state-administered or private equivalent plan is best for your organization
- Resources & Deadlines: Learn where to find official information, tools, and assistance to help your organization implement and manage Minnesota’s Paid Family and Medical Leave program effectively.
