MINNEAPOLIS, MN (July 2022) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to welcome Tanya D’Souza as counsel in the firm’s Minneapolis office. D’Souza is joining the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.
D’Souza, a registered patent attorney, has worked with clients with a wide range of patent and intellectual property needs. Her clients have included biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, chemical and agribusiness companies, as well as universities. Tanya has provided IP counsel on, among other things, immunology-based, plant, medical device, pharmaceutical, polymer, and composite composition matters.

D’Souza’s experience ranges from legal experience in large and boutique firm settings to Director of Research Development at the university level. She earned a law degree and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the University of Iowa. She received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, with honors, from the University of Bombay, India.
