KANSAS CITY, MO (August 14, 2025) — Lathrop GPM Partners Michael Abrams and William Beck have once again been named to the Missouri Lawyers Media “POWER List” for commercial and consumer law, marking their sixth consecutive year of recognition.
The “Power List – Commercial and Consumer Law” highlights Missouri’s most influential attorneys in the field, selected through a review of legal archives and interviews with peers and industry leaders. Honorees are recognized for their impact through landmark jury trials, precedent-setting decisions, and significant settlements in both class action and individual litigation.
Abrams is a trial attorney who has obtained many noteworthy court decisions on behalf of clients across diverse industries. He has been named a “Local Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation, and is consistently recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers. He was previously named a “Litigation Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal and earned Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s Top Defense Verdict in 2018.
Beck is a veteran litigator with more than 35 years of experience and a national practice focused on complex disputes involving environmental liability and insurance coverage. His work spans over 80 federal and state Superfund sites in more than 25 states. Beck is also consistently recognized amongst The Best Lawyers in America and in Chambers USA, and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers. He was honored as an ICON by Missouri Lawyers Media in 2023.
Together, Abrams and Beck helped establish the firm’s Civil Rights Insurance Recovery team in 2004, which has since recovered nearly a quarter of a billion dollars for wrongfully convicted individuals.
