Minneapolis (October 7, 2024) — Lathrop GPM Associate Kiralyn Locke has been recognized as a 2024 Up & Coming honoree by Minnesota Lawyer. This annual award recognizes early-career lawyers who demonstrate professional excellence and adherence to the highest values of the profession. Those eligible are legal professionals who are within their first 10 years of practice and were selected by an independent panel.
Locke is an associate in the firm’s Franchise & Distribution practice group. Her practice focuses on franchise litigation matters, but she has experience in employment, financial, professional liability, and trust and estate litigation.
Locke’s legal career has been marked by a commitment to public service and advocacy. She currently serves as Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Professional Liability Defense Federation and is a member of the Board of Directors for MothersEsquire, an organization dedicated to achieving gender equity in the legal profession by improving promotion and retention rates of women in the law.
Locke earned her J.D. from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2022 and her B.A. from the University of Saint Thomas in 2017.
The 2024 Up & Coming honorees were recognized at an awards luncheon on Friday, September 20 at The Luminare in Minneapolis. The awardees were also featured in a special edition of the magazine, published on Monday, September 23.
