KANSAS CITY, MO (October 9, 2025) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Jackson Hobbs, associate in the firm’s Kansas City office, has been named a 2025 Up & Coming award winner by Missouri Lawyers Media. This annual award recognizes early-career lawyers who demonstrate professional excellence while making a positive impact on their profession and communities. Those eligible are legal professionals who are 40 or younger or who are within their first 10 years of practice, as well as some older attorneys who have served as mentors.
Hobbs is a litigator, advising corporate clients, chief executives and business owners involved in high-stakes government investigations and civil and criminal enforcement actions. He has experience litigating False Claims Act matters as well as Officer of Inspector General investigations. Hobbs also serves on the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel for the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri, where he represents accused individuals in federal criminal proceedings, including charges of mail and wire fraud conspiracy.
Chambers USA recognized Hobbs for Missouri Litigation: White Collar Crime & Governments Investigations earlier in 2025. Hobbs earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
The 2025 Up & Coming Lawyer honorees will be recognized at an event today at The Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis. The awardees were also featured in a special section of the October magazine issue.
