Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Partner Sheryl Morrison received the Clinton A. Schroeder Distinguished Service Award, presented at the 50th Annual Minnesota Gift Planning Association Conference earlier today. The award recognizes outstanding service and leadership in the field of charitable gift planning and philanthropy and is considered one of the profession’s highest honors.

Named for Clinton A. Schroeder, a longtime partner with our predecessor firm, Gray Plant Mooty, the award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to charitable gift planning and philanthropy. Schroeder spent more than four decades helping shape the firm’s trust, estate and charitable planning practice and played a foundational role in Minnesota’s gift planning community. His influence continues to be felt across Lathrop GPM’s Private Client Services and nonprofit practices.

Morrison has dedicated nearly four decades to helping individuals, families and charitable organizations achieve their estate, wealth transfer and philanthropic goals. She advises clients on complex estate planning, trust and estate administration, charitable giving strategies and nonprofit governance matters. Morrison is also a longtime leader in Minnesota’s philanthropic community, having served on the Minnesota Planned Giving Council’s board and conference planning committee for many years while mentoring and educating charitable gift planning professionals across the region.
