DENVER, CO (March 5, 2024) — Colorado Super Lawyers named Lathrop GPM attorneys William “Billy” Jones, Alison Zinn, and Thomas Rodriguez to its 2024 list, and associate Blaine Bengtson was named a “Rising Star” for 2024. Partner Billy Jones also was honored among the “Colorado Top 100.”

Jones joined the firm in January and is an accomplished litigator with a strong focus on franchise and distribution disputes. His career spans over 15 states and includes class action defense and intellectual property litigation. Jones represents a broad range of clients, including midsize to large businesses. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Defense Counsel.
Zinn is a trial attorney focused on trust and estate litigation and elder law. She is a frequent speaker and thought leader on a variety of legal topics, including the Colorado Uniform Trust Code, protected proceedings, trial, and deposition skills. Zinn is actively involved in the legal and broader community, holding numerous roles over the years with the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association as well as volunteering with the Denver Probate Court, among others.
Rodriguez has more than 20 years of experience in probate litigation, including contested guardianships and conservatorships, fiduciary representation, and other will and trust litigation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and is a member of the Boulder County Bar Association, Boulder County Estate Planning Council, and The Colorado Bar Association.
Bengtson focuses his practice on environmental law, including regulatory compliance, transactional issues and litigation, as well as litigation involving contaminants and toxic tort claims, and some complex civil litigation. He assists clients with environmental matters under federal and state law, and in judicial and administrative forums.
